Condition Before Treatment

A 42 year old patient who was suffering from chronic migraine for the past four years, which was stated by continuous one-sided headache. When the doctor examined her she got to know that her migraine episodes were really frequent & persistent which affected her daily life. Her migraine was acute, it was proved according to sensitivity to every little thing, there were several things which triggered her condition like after having meals, whenever going out & especially by any noise. These symptoms indicated that it’s not normal to have it everyday & due to severeness of the pain which impacted her daily life & because of that she had to take a saridonn tablet daily to function normally on a daily basis.

Because of the continuous symptoms she had to seek treatment were undergone with allopathic medicines for three months but even after that, the relief was short term & symptoms started recurring after the treatment ended. Even after maintaining a good lifestyle like doing yoga, controlled diet & enough physical activity, her migraine showed no improvement. Her lifestyle showed no evident lifestyle stressors or any type of excessive workload that could explain the frequency of her symptoms.

After a thorough case taking, Dr. Akansha Dwivedi came to know that it’s not just a neurological problem which is causing continued symptoms but there is something related to gastric issues. Her gastric issues were surely associated with migraine & doctor took the case further according to all her evaluation.

Treatment Approach

The homeopathic remedies were choosed & prescribed according to both the condition of migraine & the associated gastric issue. After doing a thorough evaluation Dr. Akansha Dwivedi started her treatment which was structured over three months. Including physically & emotionally, the doctor started her treatment with some basic remedies that will help the reduction of frequent symptoms, helping in reducing saridon usage & emotional state.

Month 1

  • Nux Vomica 200 (drops):
4–5 drops in ¼ cup water, once daily in the morning on an empty stomach

  • Migin Tablets:
2 tablets in the morning & 2 tablets in the evening, after food

Choosing Nux Vomica was for migraine’s strong association with gastric disturbances, sensitivity & headaches getting severe after eating.

Month 2

  • Nux Vomica 200 (drops):
Continued once daily in the morning

  • Belladonna 30 (drops):
5 drops in ¼ cup water, twice daily

  • Antigrin Drops:
15 drops in ¼ cup water, morning and evening

In this month Belladonna was introduced to address acute, one-sided headache severeness & sensitivity to triggers such as noise.

Month 3

  • Belladonna 30 (drops):
    5 drops twice daily

  • Antigrin Drops:
    15 drops morning and evening

In the third prescription doctor focused more on stabilizing current improvement & preventing recurrence.

General Advice

While the homeopathic medicine was going on doctor also advised her some things:

  • Avoid fasting, strong coffee & late night parties

  • Maintain enough hydration

  • Follow a regular sleep routine

All this advice will help her manage the symptoms properly & will make her treatment easy.

Timeline of Improvement

After starting the homeopathic treatment, within two weeks the patient stated a noticeable reduction in severeness of headaches & frequency. There was an addiction to Saridon which started to reduce as symptoms became manageable. The frequency & severity of episodes decreased by the end of the first month. Over the following two months, there was no further occurrence of migraine episodes & even greater improvement was seen. After three months of treatment, the patient had no symptoms & was no longer in need of painkillers. Her addiction to Saridon tablets was totally gone.

Conclusion

This case was a perfect example of how an addiction to any pain killer can be gone within months with consistent homeopathic medicine & care. This treatment was gone for 3 months in which the patient got cured from years of chronic migraine. By dealing with both neurological & gastric factors, the treatment not only solved acute symptoms but also prevented repentance of the symptoms.
